Teachers Training Course (TTC)
TTC at Belsize Studio will comply with the suggested syllabus of the Pilates Foundation UK Ltd.
It covers the fundamentals of Pilates technique, includes the classical and modern repertoire and equipment, whilst utilizing knowledge of human anatomy.
TTC teaches how to analyse the body in stillness and in movement and to rehabilitate injury. TTC covers referrals and screenings to other professionals, first aid training, teaching and communication skills, business skills and Studio management.
Criteria for Acceptance: Applicants should have a previous background in exercise and/or movement. They should have completed a minimum of 25 Pilates sessions, in Belsize Studio, immediately prior to commencing their training. Applicants with no movement related background must have completed 50 sessions with our studio prior to their TTC.
Final acceptance is based on: Background (written C.V is essential) / Physicality and ability to perform their own exercises / Interview which will indicate commitment and passion for the work.
Duration of Training: The duration of the training is 18 months. Total of 1200 hours, consisting of practical training, lectures, supervised teaching practice and home study.
Fees: £7,500 inclusive of all lectures, classes and resources. Excluding: Pilates Foundation UK trainee membership, student insurance, first aid certificate and examination fees.
Accreditation: At the end of the course, students will be assessed teaching a small studio group and a private class (Practical Assessment), will take a written Theory exam, and hand in written course work comprising 2 Case Studies and one Essay.
Bridging Teachers Training
Who is this for: For qualified Pilates matwork teachers, who wish to qualify to teach studio apparatus classes.
Duration of Training: Bridging students will typically train for 12 months. They will be required to log a minimum of 800 hours of study during the training period, 400 of which will involve working alongside a qualified Comprehensive teacher.
Fees: £5,000 inclusive of all lectures, classes and resources. Excluding: Pilates Foundation UK trainee membership, student insurance, first aid certificate and examination fees.
